Friends leaning in around a long table, deep in conversation

A community for ideas, and the people who build them.

Cohort is a wide, deep community in New York where ideas get exchanged and built on. Free, and you don't need to know anyone to start.

More than events

Somewhere to belong, not something to go to.

New York has plenty of panels and mixers, and very few places built for continuity. You meet someone once, trade a card, and never see them again.

Big ideas need trust, and trust comes from seeing the same people again and again, somewhere you can drop your guard. So everything we run repeats, on purpose.

Come once and you're a guest. Come back and it starts to be yours, because the people who stay are the ones who run it.

How we build community

What a real community makes possible.

Not networking. Just the work and the people, again and again.

1

We keep a rhythm.

The same events, on a schedule you can rely on. A room of regulars is worth more than a room of strangers.

2

We put substance first.

What you're working on and how you think matter more than your title, funding or follower count. The work comes before the pitch.

3

We make it safe to be early.

Trust comes before bold ideas. Unpopular ideas need a room safe enough to say them in.

4

So ideas become things.

Founders, artists and researchers find cofounders, first users and collaborators among people who already know their work.
